[Norfolk, VA] – Lincoln Military Housing today announced that they have re-inspected 15 homes in the Hampton Roads region. These residences were originally inspected by a Froehling & Robertson employee who had a pending certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia for mold inspector. Due to paperwork processes and a clerical error, the certification was delayed.
“One of our employees who had the necessary training and years of mold inspection experience working in other states inadvertently submitted an incorrect form” explained Jeff Hudson, Vice President of Froehling & Robertson. “He was immediately pulled off the job and was only permitted to continue after his certification was officially recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
The Froehling & Robertson employee received approval from the Commonwealth of Virginia on January 6, 2012. He is now a licensed mold inspector, recognized by the state.
“We instructed Froehling & Robertson to re-inspect these homes out of an abundance of caution,” said Jarl Bliss, president, Lincoln Military Housing. “Our residents deserve the peace of mind that comes from having a certified inspector visit and inspect their homes.”
While the contractor met the qualifications for certification, Lincoln chose to re-inspect the homes that were handled by the contractor while the Virginia state paperwork was pending.
