[Norfolk, VA] – Lincoln Military Housing today announced the appointment of Joe R. Sharp as vice president for the Hampton Roads, VA region. Lincoln identified the opportunity to add Sharp, who has the background and knowledge to provide strong operational capabilities, and an unrelenting desire to provide the very best in customer service.
“We simply could not pass up the opportunity to welcome Joe Sharp to our Lincoln Military Housing team,” said Jarl Bliss, president, Lincoln Military Housing. “He brings more than 35 years of success in property management across the country and, for the past five years, he has performed in a stellar fashion as a project and portfolio director to the U.S. military on or near bases in Kentucky, Texas and four other states. Joe Sharp’s experience in serving military families will be extremely valuable for all our residents.”
The assignment for Sharp and his team will be to provide top quality service for all of Lincoln’s 4,381 military families in the Hampton Roads region. Sharp will work closely with Traci Neerhof, Lincoln’s full-time Chief Customer Service Officer (CCSO) for the Hampton Roads region.
Sharp joins Lincoln Military Housing following a high-profile assignment at the U.S. military base in Fort Campbell, KY.
Previously, Sharp served as the director of asset and development operations for a U.S. Army portfolio of projects, totaling more than 28,000 homes in six states. In 2005 and 2006, he served as asset manager and project director for 6,200 military homes in Fort Hood, TX, where he and his staff members were recognized as the Professional Housing Management Association (PHMA) “Team of the Year.”
From 1990 to 2005, Sharp was chief executive officer and principal of The Sharp Network, Inc., a successful investment property management firm with assets from Texas to Michigan to California. Sharp began his property management career in the late 1970s following his graduation from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in electrical engineering.
